Nicolaes Vosmaer
Nicolaes Vosmaer (* before 1629 in Delft ; † 1664 ibid) was a Dutch painter of sea views. He became known through his collaboration with Carel Fabritius and his brother Daniel Vosmaer .
Life
Nicolaes Vosmaer was born in Delft before 1629 as the son of the goldsmith Arent Woutersz Vosmaer. On June 12, 1645 he registered as a painter with the St. Lukas Guild .
One of his brothers was Daniel Vosmaer , another painter. Jacob Woutersz Vosmaer , who became known for his flower paintings, was his uncle.
