Daniel Vosmaer

Daniel Vosmaer (baptized October 13, 1622 in Delft , † 1669 or 1670 in Brielle ) was a Dutch painter. He became known to a larger audience through his collaboration with Carel Fabritius .

Life

Daniel Vosmaer was born in Delft in 1622 as the son of the goldsmith Arent Woutersz Vosmaer. On October 14, 1650, he registered as a painter with the St. Lukas Guild .

One of his brothers was Nicolaes Vosmaer , another painter. Jacob Woutersz Vosmaer , who became known for his flower paintings, was his uncle and teacher.
