Nicolas Broca (born April 18, 1932 in Liège ; † February 7, 1993 ) was a Belgian comic artist who became known under the stage name Nic .

Life

He had worked at Dupuis since the 1970s and was commissioned in 1980 to illustrate the adventures of Spirou and Fantasio based on the scenarios by Raoul Cauvin . Together they spawned three long stories that were first published in magazine and then in album form. Because of the weak enthusiasm that their version of the heroes aroused, Dupuis decided to entrust the series to Tome and Janry .

Nic didn't leave Dupuis anyway and stayed with the animation studios, where he created The Snorkels . This series had greater success and was also released in album form.
