Nicolas Wolf (basketball player)

Nicolas Wolf (born June 26, 1999 in Bamberg ) is a German basketball player . The 1.95-meter-tall winger is part of the squad of the first division club Brose Bamberg .

career

In 2013 he won the German U14 championship with TTL Bamberg , and in 2016 he became German U19 champion with TSV Breitengüßbach .

His first appearance for FC Baunach was in the 2. Bundesliga ProA  during the 2015/16 season. At the beginning of 2017 he suffered a cruciate ligament rupture, had to undergo an operation and returned to the field in January 2018 in the 2nd Bundesliga ProA.

In the summer of 2017, he signed a five-year contract with Brose Bamberg , but continued to play mainly in the youth and second division Baunach, which is part of the Bamberg youth development system.

In March 2018 he celebrated his debut in the basketball league in the Bamberg jersey . Due to a knee injury, Wolf missed large parts of the 2018/19 season, he returned to the field in January 2019 and played a total of seven season appearances for Baunach in the second division with an average of 2.4 points per encounter, but missed relegation with the team the 2nd Bundesliga ProA. In September 2019 he tore a cruciate ligament again.

National team

With the German U16 national team, Wolf took part in the 2015 European Championship in Lithuania .
