Nicolaus Biceps

Nicolaus Biceps (Czech Mikuláš Biceps ; † 1399 in Prague ) was a Czech theologian and philosopher.

Biceps graduated from Prague University with the title of Master of Fine Arts . In 1369 he was appointed Dean of the Faculty of Arts and taught theology. He opposed the beginning reform movement of Jan Hus and his followers in Bohemia and the teaching of John Wyclif . From 1378 to 1399 he worked as a lecturer of the Dominican Order Studies in Prague.
