Nicole is a Finnish metalcore and melodic death metal band from Seinäjoki , which was founded in 1997.

history

The band was formed in 1997 and consisted of singer and guitarist Ilkka Laitala, drummer Ville Sahakangas and bassist Iiro Rantanen. A short time later, guitarist and singer Jorma Korhonen joined them, who was replaced by Olli Ketola in 1998. Then Otto Seppelin joined the turntables in 2000. After several demos and EPs had already been released, the debut album Odotus was released on the band's own label Biotech Records in 2002 . In the same year Rantanen left the band and was replaced by Jussi Jokipii. The second album Suljetut Ajatukset was released in 2004 and reached number 37 on the Finnish album charts. In the same year the first live DVD was released under the name 120 Minuuttia . A year later, Seppelin and Jokipii left the band. Sami Katajamäki joined the band as the new bass player, while Seppelin was not replaced. In 2007 the next album followed, called Sivu Syyttömistä , which reached number eleven in the Finnish album charts. In the same year the band played at the Tuska Open Air Metal Festival and released another live DVD under the name Tasavalta . In 2009, the fourth album Tuomittujen Joukkoon followed. In addition, the live DVD X was released , which the band showed at their concert to celebrate their tenth anniversary. Jonne Soidinaho was the new bass player on the 2013 album Hävityksen Huoneet .
