Nicole Cernic

Nicole Cernic (born April 5, 1955 in Villach ) is a Carinthian SPÖ politician and was regional councilor from July 2008 to March 2013 .

Cernic is a BHS teacher for biology and chemistry and has taught at a school in Villach. She has sat in the Carinthian state parliament since 1999 and was most recently the cultural spokesperson for her party and deputy state parliamentary club chairman.

In July 2008, after the resignation of Gaby Schaunig, she became regional councilor and took over their agendas - social affairs, youth and women - as well as the environmental department from Reinhart Rohr .

Cernic is married and has two children.
