Nicole Cherry
Nicole Cherry (born December 5, 1998 in Bucharest ; real name Nicoleta Janina Ghinea ) is a Romanian pop and reggae singer who became known in 2013 with her song Memories .
Life
Nicole Cherry is the youngest child of Sorina and George Ghinea. She lives in Bucharest. Her mother is Roma , her father of Romanian descent. Her older sister Carlla is a make-up artist. Cherry enjoys playing tennis and making music in her spare time.
Career
Cherry became interested in music at an early age and took singing and dance lessons in his younger years, later at the Dinu Lipatti Music School in Bucharest. She presented her music a. a. in various competitions, including a competition for talented children at Prima TV .
In the summer of 2013, Cherry released her first single, Memories, which became a hit in Romania and was number one in the Romanian Top 100. The song was voted the most played hit in the country.
In 2014 she won the Zu Music Award in the “Best Breakthrough Artist” category. In the same year the single Vara mea was released, which could also be placed in the Romanian Top 100.
