Nicole Timm

Nicole Timm (* 1973 in Berlin ) is a German stage and costume designer and scenographer.

After an apprenticeship as a tailor at the Berlin State Opera , Nicole Timm studied costume and stage design at the Berlin University of the Arts in Hartmut Meyer's diploma class. As a set designer she has a. a. worked with the directors Vegard Vinge , Katja Czellnik , Katarina Eckold, Reinhild Hoffmann and Milan Pesche. In cooperation with the raumlabor berlin and with Adrienne Goehler , Matthias Lilienthal and Jens Hillje, Nicole Timm developed projects in public space, including a. in Berlin, Rostock, Austria and England. She designs sets for music videos and interventions in public spaces.

Teaching

Nicole Timm has been teaching in the stage design class at the UdK Berlin since 2010, and has been a visiting professor since 2015/16. In 2012/13 she was visiting professor for stage design and scenography at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna.
