Nicoletta Braschi


Nicoletta Braschi (born April 19, 1960 in Cesena ) is an Italian actress .
Life
After attending the Accademia Nazionale d'Arte Drammatica in Rome , Braschi made his debut after appearing in a Super 8 film in the comedy Tu mi turbi (1983) alongside and directed by Roberto Benigni , her future husband (they married on December 26, 1992). The actress, who is known for her expressiveness, her aristocratic appearance and theater-trained diction and who only accepted role offers very sparingly, had other roles in Down By Law (1986) and the award-winning tragic comedy Life is Beautiful (1997). In 1998 she received the Italian David di Donatello film award for best supporting actress for her role in Ovosodo .
The asteroid (31605) Braschi has been named after her since 2005.
