The house Niedergasse 39 is a listed residential building in Stolberg (Harz) in the municipality of Südharz in Saxony-Anhalt .

It is located in the middle part of Niedergasse on its eastern side in the old town of Stolberg. Immediately to the north is the also listed building at Niedergasse 37 .

Architecture and history

The two-storey half - timbered house has a simple design and the height of the eaves and the floor corresponds to the dimensions of the neighboring buildings. The facade is characterized by the half-timbered elements of bars and studs into which the windows are inserted. The building is covered with a mansard roof . The skylight of the front door inserted on the left edge of the building is remarkable. It is provided with a fine, ornamentally designed wooden lattice, in which the initials of the client are incorporated.

In the local register of monuments , the house has been listed as a monument since August 30, 2000 under registration number 094 30270 . The residential building is considered to be culturally, artistically and urbanistically significant.
