Lower Steinach is a living space within the boundaries of the Creglinger district Reinsbronn in Main-Tauber-Kreis in Franconia dominated northeastern Baden-Wuerttemberg .

history

The place was first mentioned in the year 800 as villa Steinaha . Another documentary mention followed in 1371 as Steynach under Bruneck . Five graves found on the eastern edge of the village in the 19th century point to a possible earlier site formation. Niedersteinach once belonged to the Hohenlohe rule of Brauneck and shared their history. In the 14th century the von Seldeneck, the St. Burkhard Abbey in Würzburg and the Lords of Reinsbronn owned Niedersteinach. In the 15th century Stephan von Leuzenbronn and in the 16th century the Lords of Crailsheim owned Niedersteinach.

The place came as part of the formerly independent municipality of Reinsbronn on February 1, 1972 to the city of Creglingen.
