Reutsachsen is a living space within the boundaries of the Creglinger district Blum hamlet in Main-Tauber-Kreis in Franconia dominated northeastern Baden-Wuerttemberg .

history

The place was first mentioned in a document as Richetensachsen in 1260 . In 1287 it was mentioned again as Rietzensassen . The place name probably comes from a person's name. The component Saxony may indicate a Carolingian settlement of Saxony in the place. The place probably came from the possession of the master chefs from Rothenburg and went with Seldeneck to the imperial city of Rothenburg ob der Tauber . The local hospital was already wealthy in the village in 1260, the Teutonic Order House before 1288 and finally sold its property to the imperial city in 1671.

The place came as part of the formerly independent municipality of Blumweiler on February 1, 1972 to the city of Creglingen.
