Niels Andersen
Niels Vandrefalk Andersen (born August 7, 1942 in Denmark ) is a Danish actor and theater director .
Life
Nielsen has made a name for himself in the Danish off-theater scene , he is also known by the nickname Vandrefalk (peregrine falcon). He began his training at the acting school of the Royal Theater ( Det Kongelige Teaters Elevskole ) and was then engaged in the theater for a few years. When he left the established theater scene, he founded the theater group Banden in 1969 , with which he went on tour. Thanks to municipal funding, the group was able to perform throughout Denmark until 1991. After funding ceased, the group continued to operate until 1993. Since then he has participated in a wide variety of theater projects in various functions.
In 1980 he directed the play Hans Egede at the Odense Theater . Nielsen is also known for his commitment to children's and youth theater.
For the period from 2011 to the end of 2013, Andersen is a member of the Stage Arts Committee of the Danish Art Council ( Kunstrådets scenekunstudvalg ), a state institution for promoting culture.
Besides, he was also seen in some film roles, such as in the Swedish production Hannah med H .
