action

The Danes Tim and Frank are brothers. While Tim was caring for her mother, who had cancer , Frank was in prison. Shortly after his release, they raid a bank in order to enable vital treatment in Kiel with the stolen money from their mother .

Both of them managed to escape the Danish police by hijacking an ambulance that was on duty near the bank. In a wild chase through the city, they repeatedly escape the police. But during the journey there was initial friction between Tim and his older brother Frank, who did not take him seriously. Tim has parked a getaway car in a junkyard, but it is no longer there when they arrive. Instead, they discover the paramedic Julie with a heart attack patient in the back of the ambulance . They continue to flee and throw the car's transponder at a truck, which lures the police on the wrong track.

When helicopters are used for the search, they drive into a forest and hide the car in a shed. The situation there comes to a head because the patient is clinically dead. While Frank doesn't care about the emergency and ruthlessly only has the actual purpose of the crime in mind, Tim stands up for Julie and the patient. He helps her use the defibrillator and brings the dying man back to life. Meanwhile, Frank painted the ambulance with a makeshift black paint. Without further ado, Frank leaves Julie and the patient with a mobile oxygen supply that is only sufficient for 25 minutes. However, Tim does not want to become a murderer, whereupon Frank silences him with a gun. But Tim snatches the gun from him, but has an accident in which he sustains serious head injuries. At gunpoint, he forces Frank to drive back to the shed and take the patient to the hospital. They arrive there at the last second. Julie takes care of Tim medically, and it becomes apparent that the two of them are sympathetic.

Tim contacts the police over the radio and lures them to a hospital in the wrong place. In this way they can get to another hospital unmolested. Happy and relieved, they drive to the emergency room, where they collide with a police car that happens to be there. Then Frank shows his true colors. He drives away at full throttle, dragging the stretcher with the patient behind him. When Tim can stop him, Frank threatens him with a gun. In the following argument, he puts the barrel on his forehead. The situation seems to escalate, so the police shoot and kill Frank. Tim is arrested and taken away on a stretcher. Julie runs after him, holds his hand and promises to help his mother.

criticism

"Turbulent action comedy with a lot of black humor that tries to tell a story in real time, but at times puts a strain on credibility."

“The pitfalls of the object, family ties and Murphy's Law are the undoing of a duo of Danish bank robbers in this turbulent action thriller with lots of black humor, but also one or the other dramatic and thoughtful moment. Stunts and action scenes hold any comparison with Hollywood, in between director Munch-Petersen sometimes gets lost in complicated side stories, which sometimes robs the story, which is kept in real time, of speed and wit. A good thing for all friends of the demanding action comedy. "
