Niels Mattaaq

Johan Niels Mattaaq [ ˈjoːhæn niːls maˈtːɑːq ] (according to the old spelling Mátâĸ ; * July 28, 1937 ) is a Greenlandic politician ( Siumut ).

Niels Mattaaq was elected Mayor of Upernavik Municipality in 1991 . From 1995 to 1999 he was a member of the Inatsisartut for one legislative period . On August 13, 1997 he received the Kongelige Belønningsmedalje .
