Niklas Uftring (born August 27, 1993 ) is a German foil fencer .
Life
Niklas Uftring from Kahl am Main began his fencing career at TFC Hanau. On May 20, 2009 he moved to the Olympic base at the Fecht Club Tauberbischofsheim . After finishing school, Uftring began studying at the University of Applied Sciences in Würzburg-Schweinfurt .
Sporting successes
Uftring won the gold medal at the 2013 German Fencing Championships with the foil team of the Tauberbischofsheim fencing club. A silver medal followed at the German championships in 2014 and a bronze medal with the foil team in 2015 , 2016 and 2017 .
Uftring was one of the German participants in the 2015 European Games .
