Niklaus Kury

Niklaus Kury , also Niklaus Courri , (* 1737 in Reinach BL , † 1803 ibid) was a Swiss sculptor .

Niklaus Kury created two side altars in the parish church in Ettingen in 1765 and, according to Lukas Sarasin's “building book” , carried out sculptures in the White House and the Blue House at the Rheinsprung in Basel in the 1760s . In 1777 he created the portal of the armory in Basel (today in the Kleiner Klingental). Other works, such as the relief supraporta depicting the flight to Egypt at the Kury Court in Reinach, are attributed to him.
