Niklaus Schurtenberger (born February 7, 1968 ) is a Swiss show jumper .

Career

Schurtenberger grew up on a farm near Bern, where he came into contact with horses very early on.

In the recruit school he was trained as a rider, but according to his own statements he did not like military riding.

After several years of hiking, including in Germany, the 22-year-old founded his own riding school in Burgdorf . After moving to Lyss a few years later, Schurtenberger concentrated on his professional career.

Schurtenberger is single and has a son.
