Nikola Despotovic (born January 11, 2001 in Vienna ) is an Austrian football player .

Career

Despotovic started his career at FS Elektra Vienna . In 2009 he moved to the Union Wall . In 2010 he switched to the youth team of SC Team Wiener Linien . For the 2015/16 season he came to the academy of FK Austria Vienna .

For the 2018/19 season he switched to the amateurs of SKN St. Pölten . In March 2019, he made his debut for them in the regional league when he was in the starting line-up against the amateurs of SK Rapid Wien on matchday 17 of that season . After ten games for the amateurs, he was in the SKN's squad for the first time against Wolfsberger AC in May 2019 . In the same month he finally made his debut for this in the Bundesliga when he came on on matchday 32 against FC Red Bull Salzburg in the 89th minute for Roko Mišlov .

National team

Despotovic played for an Austrian youth national team for the first time in April 2016. In April 2019, he made his first appearance for the U-18 team against Germany .
