Nikolai Alexandrowitsch Sergejew ( Russian: Николай Александрович Сергеев ; * 1855 in Charkow ; † 1919 ) was a Russian landscape painter and from 1887 an honorary member of the Tsarist Academy of Arts .

Sergejew studied painting with the famous master and professor at the Academy of Fine Arts Lev Felixowitsch Lagorio . His best works are June , Elegy , Steppe , Glowing Stars , Stagnant River , Dnepr Bay and Increasing Wind . Sergejev's pictures are primarily characterized by their virtuoso play with light and shadow.

In 1889 he was awarded the Order of St. Stanislaus III. Awarded class for promoting artistic activities.

Since 1910, Sergejew worked as a university teacher for landscape painting.
