Nikolai Pavlovich Kmelev
Nikolai Pavlovich Chmeljow (* 28 . Jul / 10. August 1901 greg. In Sormovo , Governorate Nischnegorod, Russia ; † 1. November 1945 ) was a Soviet actor .
Khmelyov was one of the most famous Soviet actors in the first half of the 20th century. From 1937 to 1944 he was director of the Chekhov Art Theater in Moscow . He was married to the actress Lyalya Tschjornaja (aka Nadeshda Kiseljowa ).
Khmelyov was awarded the titles of Honored Artist of the RSFSR (January 18, 1933) and People's Artist of the USSR (April 28, 1937).
