Nikolai Sergejewitsch Dolgorukow ( Russian: Николай Сергеевич Долгоруков ; * 1840 , † 1913 ) was a Russian ambassador .

Life

The parents of Nikolai Sergejewitsch Dolgorukow were Countess Marija Alexandrovna Apraksina (* 1816, † 1892) and Prince Sergei Alexejewitsch Dolgorukow (* September 2, 1809, † September 16, 1891, true and secret advice of the Tsar). Dolgorukov entered the Horse Guard regiment in 1858. After a duel with Count Opermann, he was demoted and sent to the Caucasus for asymmetrical warfare . Dolgorukov was inducted into a military order in 1860, promoted to sergeant in 1861, rehabilitated in 1864 and accepted into the bodyguard regiment, in 1867 adjutant of the tsar, in 1882 teacher of the tsar and promoted to major general. From 1905 to 1909 he was an orderly officer in the Tsar's General Staff and accompanied Nicholas II (Russia) on a visit to Wilhelm II (German Empire) . From 1912 Dolgorukov was a member of the Tsarist State Council.
