Nikolaus Freyberger

Nikolaus Freyberger (born November 28, 1865 in Kőszeg , Hungary , † May 10, 1944 in Pinkafeld ) was an Austrian leather merchant and politician ( CS ). Freyberger was a member of the Burgenland state parliament and second president of the state parliament. He was married.

Nikolaus Freyberger was born as the son of the tanner Anton Freyberger from Kőszeg / Güns. He attended the elementary and community school in Güns and then worked as a tanner and leather dealer. After his marriage in 1894, he moved to Pinkafeld.

Freyberger was a member of the state party executive of the Christian Social Party in Burgenland and from 1926 to 1932 treasurer. He represented the Christian Social Party from November 13, 1923 to July 15, 1930 in the Burgenland Landtag. On October 28, 1924, he succeeded Alfred Ratz as second president of the state parliament, a function that he initially held until April 30, 1925. Afterwards Freyberger was again second president of the state parliament between May 20, 1927 and July 15, 1930. On July 15, 1930 Freyberger resigned from his political mandate.
