Alfred Ratz

Alfred Ratz (born February 5, 1882 in Pöttelsdorf ; † August 16, 1924 in Rust ) was an Austrian business owner and politician ( CS ). He was a member of the Burgenland state parliament and regional councilor in the Burgenland state government.

Life

Ratz was born as the son of the Protestant pastor Johann Georg Ratz from Pöttelsdorf and grew up with his brother August Ratz . After primary school he attended the Lyceum in Sopron and studied law in Bratislava and Klausenburg . 1907 doctorate Ratz to Dr. jur and subsequently worked as a lawyer.

In the First World War he did his military service, with Ratz serving at the front for 32 months and holding the rank of Landsturm lieutenant. From 1919 he was senior inspector of the Ober-Ödenburger Seniorate of the Evangelical Church AB and from October 1923 senior curator of the Middle Evangelical Seniorate AB in Burgenland. In 1924, Ratz also held the office of superintendent curator of the Burgenland Evangelical Superintendent AB .

Ratz was mayor of Rust from 1907 . He was involved in the Christian Social Party and in 1921 was a member of the steering committee of the Christian Social Party for West Hungary. He represented the Christian Socials from July 15, 1922 until his death on August 16, 1924 in the Burgenland state parliament. In addition, from January 4, 1924 until his death, he held the office of Second President of the State Parliament and from July 19, 1922 to January 4, 1924, he was State Councilor in the Rausnitz State Government .
