Nikolaus Kalita (born September 11, 1943 in Vienna ) is an Austrian pop musician and composer.
biography
Kalita celebrated some successes in his home country in the 1970s under the stage name Nick Oliver. He then worked successfully as a composer, copywriter and producer of advertising jingles.
In the spring of 1982 he achieved success with the single doll (you are a modern hex) , a cover version of Dave Edmunds ' country song Queen of Hearts interpreted in Viennese dialect .
In 1982 he recorded the song Hallo Klaus (i wü nur zruck) as the duo Nickerbocker & Biene together with the singer Sabine Kopera , whom he had met while recording a laundry detergent commercial . It developed into a top ten hit in the wake of the Neue Deutsche Welle in Germany. Overall, the single stayed in the charts for over half a year. In the meantime the song has been covered several times, including a. by them themselves with their roles reversed under the title Hallo Maus (i wü nur zruck) . In 1984 Nikolaus Kalita published the song Das Ende der Welt under the pseudonym Franzi geht in 'Wienerwald in response to the song Fürstenfeld by STS .
