Nicholas Simon

Nikolaus Simon (born June 25, 1874 in Marktheidenfeld , † 1948 at Oberbrunn Castle in Chiemgau ) was a German industrial manager.

Life

Nikolaus Simon attended the humanistic grammar school in Würzburg and Schweinfurt. After graduating from high school, he studied at the Universities of Lausanne, Würzburg and Bern as well as the ETH Zurich. In Würzburg he became a member of the Corps Bavaria in 1899. After graduating as a Dr. phil. he worked as an assistant at the ETH Zurich for another five semesters. He then worked for three years as operations manager in Szczecin. In 1908 he moved to the Schlesische Portland-Cement Industrie AG in Opole , where he became its general director and chairman of the board. Simon was the chairman of the steam boiler monitoring association. V. in Opole.
