Nikolaus von Bevern

Nikolaus von Bevern (* in the 15th century; † March 7, 1484 ) was canon in Münster .

Life

Origin and family

Nikolaus von Bevern came from the Westphalian noble family von Bevern , who came from the ministerial nobility and had its headquarters in Ostbevern and Westbevern in the Münsterland . He was the son of Friedrich von Bevern and his wife Getrud Voet zu Kolvenburg and grew up with his siblings Agnes († 1475, ∞ Hermann Korff called Schmising), Johannes and Wennemar , who were also canons of Munster. The family of Bevern lived until 1588, the year of extinction in the male line , to Bevern .

Act

On October 4, 1472, he was first mentioned in a document as the canon of Münster. He was also archdeacon of Weseke . The sources do not provide any information about his further life. With his concubine Hassen tom Unland , he had a son named Wennemar.
