The Nikolos-Muschelischwili-Technical University Kutaisi ( Russian Н. Мусхелишвили Кутаисский государственный технический университет ; english N. Muskhelishvili Kutaisi State Technical University (KSTU) ) is a 1973 university founded in Kutaisi , the second largest city in Georgia and capital of the region of Imereti .

The college was founded on September 24, 1974 as the Kutaisi Faculty of the Georgian Technical University . On September 21, 1992, the university received state recognition as a university. On February 23, 2006, the university was merged with the Akaki Tsereteli University of Kutaisi and continued as the Akaki Tsereteli University of Kutaisi.
