Nils von Niederhäusern (born January 10, 1996 in Winterthur ) is a Swiss football player . The defender is a Swiss U-21 international and has been under contract with FC Winterthur in the Challenge League since July 2019 .

Career

Nils von Niederhäusern played at FC Wiesendangen during his youth and moved to FC Winterthur in 2006 at the age of 10 . In 2011 he moved to the youth department of FC Zurich . On April 17, 2014 he made his debut in the 1st division promotion for the U-21 team of FC Zurich, on matchday 24 of the 2013/14 season in a 3-2 win against BSC Old Boys . In the following three seasons he came to a total of 48 missions and scored one goal. In October 2016 he was finally loaned to FC Wohlen in the second highest Swiss league, where he was used in every game with the exception of two yellow-banned games. At the end of the season, they placed 7th, which was enough to stay in the Challenge League . For the 2017/18 season he signed a two-year contract with league rivals FC Vaduz . He has been playing for FC Winterthur since the 2019/20 season .

National team

Von Niederhäusern has been part of the Swiss U-21 national team since February 2017 , but has not yet played. Before that, he played in all of Switzerland's junior national teams.

Nils von Niederhäusern is the younger brother of Nick von Niederhäusern , who has been under contract with FC Wil since 2018 and also played for FC Vaduz from 2013 to 2016 .
