Nina C. Alice

Nina C. Alice (artist name, which was created from her three first names: Caroline Alice Nina), (born December 12, 1966 in Berlin ) is a German musician and singer of the Berlin rock band Skew Siskin .

Career

Alice started making music when she was eleven. First she played drums in the punk band "The Rubberbeats & The Babybones", later in the Berlin combo Sprung Aus Den Wolken with Kiddy Citny . At 13 she started taking singing lessons. In 1984 she founded the band "Big Sister" (as a singer) and played in many Berlin punk clubs. Albrecht Metzger , her mother's theater colleague, recorded the film “1 Punk 36” with Alice in 1980 and “Spider Goodbye” in 1983, in which she portrayed herself (with Blixa Bargeld and Mark Chung, among others ). At the age of 19, Nina planned to become a musical performer. In 1986 she began studying at the HdK. Your singing teachers were Vicky Hall and Vera Kamaryt, acting teacher was u. a. Helmut Baumann. She first studied dance, modern dance and jazz dance, step dance and was a student in "Der Etage" Berlin. There she had two years of acrobat lessons, which resulted in a contract at the Theater des Westens for one season in 1983, in the play "Barnum" (with Freddy Quinn). She worked there as a singer in the choir and acrobat on the trapeze. In 1995, she played her mother in the play directed bitch talks of Heinrich Zille with. In 1988 she sang (under the stage name Nina Schulz! ) A duet with Udo Lindenberg on his album "Hermine" the song "You Are My Lucky Star". She came into contact with Jim Voxx through Lindenberg and founded the band Skew Siskin with him.

Furthermore, she can be seen alongside her mother Helma Fehrmann, the actors Maria Schrader , Anja Franke and Holger Franke in the movie "Robby, Kalle, Paul" (1988) by Dani Levy in the role of Tilla . For this she also wrote two pieces of music. In the film “Silent Night” by Dani Levy, a text to the music “That man of mine” by Niki Reiser can be heard from her.

In 2000 she sang the song "Run" on Pothead's album Burning Bridges in a duet with singer Brad.

Nina sang the duet with Weidner Please kill me on Stephan Weidner's album Schneller, higher, Weidner, which was released in April 2008 . In 2008 she toured Germany with Stephan Weidner.

Private

Nina C. Alice is the daughter of Helma Fehrmann (actress and co-founder of the Rote Grütze Theater ) and Gerald Schultz.
