Pothead is a rock band from Berlin . The band name is derived from an Anglo-American slang expression used to describe marijuana users.

history

The band was formed in 1990 by Seattle- based Bradley Kok and Jeffery Moore (Brad and Jeff Dope). During a vacation in Europe in the early 1990s, the idea arose not to go back to the USA , but to try your luck in Germany. So they relocated from Seattle to the German capital Berlin , where they met up with some drummers until 1994 when Sebastian Meyer from Olpe in the Sauerland joined them .

As the band announced on June 21, 2012, the longtime drummer left the band on June 8, 2012 after 18 years together. In August 2012, Pothead announced that Nicolaj Gogow ( Knorkator ) would succeed Sebastian Meyer. After Gogow was represented in 2014 due to an injury by Robert Puls, it was decided to continue playing in this line-up.
