Nina Janßen-Deinzer (born April 30, 1972 in Cologne ) is a German clarinetist .

Life

Nina Janßen-Deinzer studied in Hanover at Hans Deinzer's school and graduated with the concert exam. From 2006 to 2017 she taught at the International Ensemble Modern Academy ( IEMA ) at the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts . She taught u. a. on behalf of the Goethe Institute , at music academies in Russia, Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, in Beijing, Shanghai, Krakow and in Moscow. Since March 2015 she has been professor for woodwind chamber music at the University of Music in Nuremberg .

Nina Janßen-Deinzer was married to clarinetist Hans Deinzer until his death on February 26, 2020 .

Musical career

Janßen-Deinzer is internationally active as a soloist as well as chamber music. In addition to the classical-romantic repertoire, she devotes herself to contemporary music. From 2006 to 2017 she was a member of the Ensemble Modern . Many works have been premiered by her and dedicated to her, e. B. by Arnulf Herrmann , Mark Andre , Saed Haddad, Eun-Hwa Cho, Johannes Motschmann, Ying Wang. She plays clarinets from Eb to double bass clarinet and saxophone. Janßen also performs the classical repertoire with historical clarinets, e.g. B. in collaboration with Sergio Azzolini , Sheila Arnold and Wilhelm Bruns . She is a founding member of the Delos Quintet .

Janßen-Deinzer has appeared as a soloist at renowned festivals, including a. at the Donaueschinger Musiktage , at the Salzburg Festival , at the Ruhrtriennale , at the Ultrasound Festival Berlin and at the Schwetzinger Festival .

As a soloist she performed a. a. at performances of works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart , Carl Maria von Weber , George Gershwin , John Cage , Karl Amadeus Hartmann and also by Jörg Widmann , Johannes Maria Staud , Conlon Nancarrow and Giacinto Scelsi as well as Pascal Dusapin .

Janßen is a scholarship holder of the German National Academic Foundation , the Marie Luise Imbusch Foundation, the Richard Wagner Association and the Schumannhaus Bonn Association.
