Nina Langen

Nina Langen (* 1978 or 1979) is a sustainability scientist . She is a professor at the Technical University of Berlin (TU Berlin), where she heads the department “Education for Sustainable Nutrition and Food Science”.

Life

Langen studied agricultural science at the University of Bonn from 1999 to 2005 . She then worked for a manufacturer of organic food in product management and in 2011 and 2012 at the consumer center in North Rhine-Westphalia. From 2007 to 2012 she completed a doctoral degree at the University of Bonn and was an academic adviser there from 2013 to 2016 . In 2016 she was appointed professor in the field of "Education for Sustainable Nutrition and Food Science" at the TU Berlin.

Act

Langen's research focuses on sustainable consumption , consumer behavior and food waste . Langen has also researched the grassroots movements resulting from the climate crisis and takes part in the public debate on the climate crisis. Langen is a partner of the network eat-worthy , which opposes food waste.
