Nina Petrick

Nina Petrick (* 1965 in Berlin ) is a German author .

Life

Nina Petrick studied German and art history for a few semesters . From 1992 she wrote books for children and young people, fiction and short stories. In 1994 her prose text Vaterliebe won praise at the 3rd Berlin Youth Literature Competition, and in 1995 she received a Käthe Dorsch grant. Since 1997 she has been working as a freelance writer for various publishers and the radio and is a juror in reading competitions. The author lives in Berlin with her husband and daughter. Nina Petrick is the daughter of the painters Helma and Wolfgang Petrick .

Awards

In 1996 she received the Peter Härtling Prize for her first novel “Die Regentrinkerin” .
