Nina Pourlak

Nina Pourlak (born December 4, 1973 in West Berlin ) is an Iranian - German writer , screenwriter and director .

Life

After studying screenwriting at the German Film and Television Academy (Dffb) from 2004 to 2006, she first drew attention to herself with the documentary It's all about boxing world champion Arthur Abraham and his trainer Uli Wegner . In 2009 her first novel Besser als Nix was published , which was filmed in 2012 by director Ute Wieland with François Goeske as the leading actor. The German theatrical release is planned for August 21, 2014. In 2013, together with her partner Jasin Mjumjunov, she filmed the love drama Für Immer , which was shown for the first time in 2014 in the debut competition at the Biberach Film Festival, was invited to numerous other festivals, and was awarded as the best feature film at the Grenzlandfilmtage in Selb in 2015. Pourlak lives and works with her partner in Bonn.
