Nina Shtansky

Nina Wiktorowna Schtanski ( Russian: Нина Викторовна Штански , Romanian Nina Ștanski ; born April 10, 1977 in Tiraspol ) is a former Transnistrian politician. She was the foreign minister of her country from January 24, 2012 to September 1, 2015.

life and career

Born in Tiraspol, she studied law at the Taras Shevchenko State University of Transnistria in her hometown of Tiraspol. From 2002 to 2009 she worked as an advisor in the Transnistrian Parliament. Shortly after the Transnistrian presidential election at the end of 2011 , she was appointed Foreign Minister of her country under the newly elected President Yevgeny Shevchuk . At the end of 2012, she completed her dissertation on possible solutions to the settlement of the Transnistrian conflict . In September 2015 she married President Yevgeny Shevchuk and gave up all of her offices. His successor as Foreign Minister was Vitaly Ignatiev.

Nina Schtanski has a daughter.
