Amir Rešić , better known as Nino (born January 22, 1964 in Bosanska Dubica ; † October 18, 2007 in Bijeljina ) was a Bosnian singer who gained great popularity in the 1990s, first in Serbia and later in Bosnia and Herzegovina .

Nino has released a total of 14 albums since 1991.

biography

Nino spent his entire youth in his birthplace in Bosnia, which at that time was still part of Yugoslavia . Shortly before the beginning of the war in Bosnia, he moved to Kruševac to start a career as a singer. There he recorded his first album Nar and then moved to Belgrade , where he recorded most of his other albums. After divorcing his second marriage with his wife, he left Serbia in 2004 and moved back to Bosnia. There he lived mainly in Sarajevo , but recorded his other songs in Bijeljina . His last two albums were also made in Bijeljina under BN music .

On October 18, 2007, Amir Rešić left the studio of the station BN in the afternoon because he allegedly did not feel well and had a severe headache. On the same evening he was admitted to the local hospital and died of a perforation of the pancreas , which was caused by excessive alcohol consumption over many years.

Nino has three daughters from his first two marriages, named Amela, Sandra and Tamara.

When he married his ex-wife Sara, at the request of his wife, Nino had meanwhile renamed his name from Amir to Nikola and at the same time changed his religion, namely to the Serbian Orthodox Church. Immediately after his divorce in 2004, when he decided to return to Bosnia, he converted back to Islam and called himself Amir again.

Nino sang his songs mostly with an Ekavian accent, but partly also with an Ijekavian accent , although at the beginning he spoke exclusively with the Bosnian- Ijekavian accent.
