Nisreen Faour

Nisreen Faour ( Arabic نسرين فاعور, DMG Nisrīn Fāʿūr ; * August 2, 1972 in Tarschikha ) is a Palestinian actress and director .

biography

Nisreen Faour was born and raised in Tarshicha, the daughter of a family that fled Jalin, which was conquered and destroyed in 1948. In her youth she was active in school and took part in a delegation to the USA . from 1991 to 1994 she studied at the Theater Academy in Tel-Aviv , in 2006 she studied directing at the University of Haifa . In 2008 she studied yoga in India . Faour works in Arabic and English, but not in Hebrew, although she is fluent in Hebrew.

At first Faour played in various Palestinian theaters, such as ash-Shuruk, Bet-Al-Karma, Al-Midan. Among other things, she played in the plays Fear and Misery of the Third Reich , Don Quixote . She played a prominent role in the monodrama A Happy Woman by Dario Fo and Franca Rame , directed by Kamel Bascha. She also directs, including directing I'm Anna , inspired by Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy , in Acre , 2006.
