Njaba is a local government area in the Nigerian state of Imo in the southeast of the country.

geography

Njaba is a good 20 km north of the capital of the state of Owerri on the road to Awlu . The LGA, which now has around 200,000 inhabitants, includes the settlements of Amucha , Atta , Okwudor and Umuaka . In the north of Njaba the River Njaba forms, which feeds Lake Oguta about 30 km to the west.

Town twinning

Umuaka's twin town has been Newark in the state of New Jersey in the USA since 2007 .
