No23Live is a freeware - software for streaming audio . The software uses the WMA format as an encoder and has an integrated streaming server for user management.

No23Live scans the recording channels of the sound card . The sampled audio signal is translated into WMA format and sent as a live audio stream over the network. The audio stream sent can be received and played back by the listener via a playback program ( audio player ). The prerequisite for this is that the playback program supports the WMA format and can also handle streaming. Up to 50 listeners can connect to No23Live at the same time to receive the audio stream. In addition, the audio stream can also be sent to a Windows Media Server.

In addition, the program offers the option of publishing the audio stream on your own homepage or inviting listeners by e-mail. All necessary information ( IP address , port number , etc.) is determined automatically and can be transferred to the standard e-mail program using the FTP client integrated in the software , to the web server or as a ready-made e-mail .

Plugins

  • The DSP - plug-in "Shoutcast Source for Winamp " can be integrated into No23Live, so that stream to a Shoutcast - streaming server are possible. No23Live communicates directly with the DSP plug-in.
    • Note: If the audio stream is sent via the DSP plug-in, MP3 is used as the coding format. Since SHOUTcast-DSP version 1.8.2, an adapted version of the LAME encoder has been included as standard . It is no longer possible to use another MP3 encoder together with the SHOUTcast DSP.
  • VST plugins can also be used with No23Live. In principle, all VST effect plug-ins can be integrated into No23Live, provided they have been developed in accordance with the VST2 standards (VST 2.4 SDK ). The plugins can then be used for real-time manipulation of the signal within No23Live - No23Live then acts as a so-called VST host . For the user, this means that the signal can be optimally adjusted and controlled before it is sent to the listener or streaming server .
    • Note: VST plug-ins are divided into two categories: VST effects and VST instruments (VSTi). No23Live only supports VST effects and only those with a so-called VST editor.
