Never in my life ... (Original title: Never Have I Ever ) is an American coming-of-age television series by the video-on-demand provider Netflix , which was released on April 27, 2020. The plot is inspired by Kaling's own youth, but is set in the present day.
In July 2020, the series was extended for a second season.

The series is about 15-year-old Indian-American girl Devi Vishwakumar, who, after a terrible first year of high school and the death of her father, wants to become cooler and more popular in high school along with her friends.
