Mindy Kaling
Mindy Kaling (born June 24, 1979 in Cambridge , Massachusetts ; actually Vera Mindy Chokalingam ) is an American author , comedian and actress .
life and career
Kaling was born Vera Mindy Chokalingam to a Tamil architect and a Bengali gynecologist , both from India . Kaling graduated from Buckingham Browne & Nichols , a private school in Cambridge . In the following years she attended Dartmouth College .
In 2005 Kaling made her acting debut in the film Virgo (40), male, looking for… . This was followed by appearances in various film and television productions, including 2007 in License to Marry and 2012 in Fast Married . She became known for her work as a screenwriter and actress of Kelly Kapoor in the television series Das Büro and for the series The Mindy Project , which she created with her help , in which she has played the title role Mindy Lahiri since 2012 .
In 2020, the series she had invented Never in my life ... was published on Netflix .
In 2018 she was appointed to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences , which awards the Oscars every year.
