action

The well-known talk show host Katherine has long passed her zenith, but can still benefit from her earlier successes. Due to long-term declining ratings, the broadcaster is calling for its programming to be modernized, which is increasingly bypassing the younger target groups. To revitalize her exclusively white and male team of authors, she is hiring a female gag writer for the first time. More or less by chance, the position goes to a young woman of Indian descent who has previously worked in chemical production and only occasionally takes part in stand-up appearances at small charity events as a hobby. Although the career changer Molly has no experience in the TV industry, she brings movement into the stuck team with fresh thinking and carefree enthusiasm.
