Isaac "Ike" Barinholtz (born February 18, 1977 in Chicago , Illinois ) is an American comedian and actor . He was best known for his role on the show MADtv .

Life

He attended the Latin School of Chicago and originally planned a career as a politician . Instead, however, he moved to Los Angeles to become a comedian. There he began an apprenticeship as a waiter before getting his first comedy role.

Barinholtz was a member of the improvisational comedy groups ImprovOlympic , The Second City and the Annoyance Theater . He also spent two years in Amsterdam with the comedy company Boom Chicago - together with Jordan Peele , Nicole Parker and Josh Meyers . He hosted Worst of Boom Night on the 10th anniversary of Boom Chicago, which featured the show's worst skits.

Barinholtz has also starred in The Adventures of Big Handsome Guy and His Little Friend (2005), Love, Fear and Rabbits (2005) and Down (2001). He lives in Los Angeles .

MADtv

Barinholtz was an official member of the show MADtv in 2002 . He used to play skits with his ex-colleague and friend Josh Meyers, who has since left MADtv . Now he's doing some skits with Bobby Lee .

In addition to Michael McDonald and Frank Caliendo , Barinholtz has portrayed and re-enacted many famous people, e. For example: Dane Cook , Evan Marriott , Jason Wahler , Kevin Federline , Mark Wahlberg , Nick Nolte and John Mahoney . In 2007 Fox decided not to renew Barinholtz's contract for season 13. His contract, which, as usual, spanned five years, ended with the 12th season.
