Bad Neighbors 2 (original title Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising ) is an American comedy film with Seth Rogen , Rose Byrne and Zac Efron in the lead roles. The film is the sequel to Bad Neighbors (2014) and ran in US cinemas on May 20, 2016. The film opened in Germany on May 5, 2016.

Mac and Kelly Radner are expecting a second baby and are trying to sell their house to get money for a new, bigger house. The couple Jessica and Eric Baiers are very interested in the house and conclude an escrow contract with them , according to which the purchase is only made after a period of 30 days. The Baiers therefore plan to stop by from time to time in the meantime.
Teddy Sanders organizes a dinner with members of his former Fraternity Delta Psi Beta , at which it turns out that all of his friends have made something of their lives and achieved something. After Teddy's best friend Pete receives and agrees to marry and then asks Teddy to move out, Teddy is deeply saddened.
Meanwhile, a group of freshmen girls have gathered at a Sorority Phi Lambda party on a nearby campus . After partying through the night, some of the girls soon show themselves to be very dissatisfied with the existing Phi Lambda practices. Above all, the perverse behavior of the guys with whom the Phi Lamda teams up is not acceptable to them. They decide to found their own Sorority, which they name Kappa Nu . The newly founded Sorority shows interest in the former house of Delta Psi Beta , which is right next to the Radner's house. However, the house turns out to be far too expensive for the Kappa Nu girls . Teddy, who had sought refuge in his fraternity's old house after his eviction and listened carefully to the girls' problems, offers them his help. The girls pool all their money and make a down payment for the house after Teddy promises to raise the rest of the money. They soon move into their new home and - to the shock of the Radners - have their first big party. The Radners ask Shelby, the leader of the Kappa Nu , to keep their parties a little quieter until the house is finally sold.
After this attempt ends unsuccessfully, the Radners contact Shelby's father, who supports his daughter's approach. The Sorority then declares war on the Radners and begins to play nasty pranks on them; Among other things, they throw used tampons at the Radner's discs . Mac Strikes Back, by the House of Kappa Nu with bed bugs infected, what the girls forcing an expensive exterminator to hire. Now that they are in need of money again, they decide to sell marijuana at a party . Teddy explains to the girls that he doesn't agree and is subsequently thrown out of the house. He then decides to switch sides and help the Radners fight the Sorority.
After the girls from Kappa Nu stole everything from their house in the Radners' absence, the Baiers withdraw from the purchase agreement. However, Kappa Nu is still doing poorly financially. As a way out of the financial misery, the girls throw a big party in the hope of being able to raise enough money to pay off the house. But when the boys behaved extremely rowdy and perverted at the party, the girls were very dissatisfied with it, as this behavior was the real reason why they founded the Sorority. Kelly feels sorry for the girls and encourages them to continue to uphold her principles. They decide to kick the boys out again and have a normal party. This party also attracts the first - year students of Phi Lambda , who would now prefer to join the Kappa Nu Sorority. In the end, the girls earn so much money with the party that they can not only buy the house, but also want to rent the Radner's house as an additional space. They agree and can finally buy their new house.

At the beginning of February 2015 it was announced that a sequel to Bad Neighbors was planned. Nicholas Stoller re-directed, while Andrew J. Cohen and Brendan O'Brien wrote the script. Even Seth Rogen , Rose Byrne , Zac Efron and Dave Franco , the main characters from the first part, play their roles again. In July 2015, Chloë Grace Moretz announced that she would be starring in the film. Filming began in Dunwoody , Georgia on August 31, 2015 and ended on October 29, 2015.

The film received mixed reviews from critics. He holds a 63% rating on Rotten Tomatoes , based on an average rating of 5.7 / 10 and 151 rated reviews.
Andreas Staben from filmstarts.de awarded 3.5 out of 5 stars and found that there was "a lot to laugh about and this time a little more reason and feeling".
