Brandon consolation
Brandon Scott Trost (born August 29, 1981 in Los Angeles , California ) is an American cinematographer , film director and visual effects assistant .
Life
After graduating from the Los Angeles Film School in 2000 , Trost worked in smaller productions for a few years in order to gain his first practical experience. With the first major feature film Amok - He Was a Quiet Man , he won his first camera award at the Newport Beach Film Festival . In the following year, Trost worked with Rob Zombie on two projects, not only for his music video Sick Bubblegum , but also for his film Halloween IIresponsible as a cameraman. Zombie himself really appreciated working with him, as he not only worked like himself, but also corresponded to Zombies' desire to make the film look as rough and real as possible. (See, what I love about Brandon is that he works like how I like to. I wanted the movie to look raw and real. [...] Brandon was really great at achieving that.)
Solace was also the cameraman in other music videos, including Destroyer by Static-X , Lillian, Egypt and Girl in the War by Josh Ritter and Beautiful Tragedy by In This Moment .
After Trost had directed the short films The FP , Little Bo Peep and The Day the Dead Weren't Dead , he made his debut as a film director with his first feature film in 2011 with the comedy The FP .
He is currently represented by the Montan Artists agency .
