MacGruber is an American comedy film from the year 2010 . The film is based on the Saturday Night Live sketch series MacGruber , a parody of MacGyver .

Dieter von Cunth takes an X5 missile with a nuclear warhead into his power in the east of Siberia , in the Jugdschur Mountains . In order to master this danger, Colonel Jim Faith and Lieutenant Dixon Piper are trying to reactivate the former Green Beret , Navy Seal and Army Ranger MacGruber after his 10-year break in Ecuador . But he has long since renounced violence and prefers to meditate in a monastery instead of saving the world from villains. Faith and Piper leave, disappointed with his cancellation. It is not until late at night that MacGruber dreams of how Cunth once killed his lover, Casey Sullivan, Vicky St. Elmo's best friend, at their wedding. The decision has been made and MacGruber travels to Washington.
After his arrival at the Pentagon and another heated conversation with Faith and Piper, the proposal to set up a team under Piper is rejected. MacGruber is allowed to recruit his own team with his old comrades in arms. When he meets Faith and Piper with him at the airport, he leaves his team with his self-made C4 in a van, which then explodes. Afraid of losing his mission to stop Cunth, MacGruber gets involved with Piper, as MacGruber physically fights Piper and later begs Piper's support with his pants down; then a new team is founded together with Vicky St. Elmo and Piper.
The next day, the group travels to Las Vegas to visit a Cunth nightclub . MacGruber takes the stage there and loudly announces his plan for where he will be the next day. The team secretly starts a secret operation and Vicki plays in this MacGruber. But instead of attacking Vicki as planned, the van from which the operation is monitored is attacked by Cunth's people, including Hoss Bender. Everyone survives the attack, Bender dies and a new idea is quickly invented. Vicki is supposed to play Bender this time and infiltrate a warehouse where a transaction is taking place to get the access codes for the X5 missiles. But the procedure goes wrong. Although MacGruber manages to eliminate all guards with Celery in his butt and Piper as the shooter, Cunth's people are able to escape. So MacGruber persuades his team to take part in a Cunth charity event after both failed operations . There the two meet for the first time and Cunth has MacGruber thrown out of there by his guards.
After this fiasco, everyone travels back to Washington, DC At the Pentagon, MacGruber is not only reprimanded by Faith, but the case is ultimately withdrawn. While Piper and MacGruber are relaxing with a drink, they are suddenly attacked by some mercenaries. MacGruber uses Piper as a human shield to safely escape with Vicki. They flee in MacGruber's car. But Piper is not dead, he was wearing a bulletproof vest. Disgusted by the fact that MacGruber almost sacrificed him, he leaves the team. Vicki and MacGruber go to Vicki's house and have sex there. But MacGruber can't really cope with these feelings about his long-time girlfriend, which is why he hastily leaves the house and drives to the grave of his fiancée. After he gets the blessing from the ghost of his fiancée there, he has sex with her there too, on her tombstone.
Upon returning to Vicki's house, MacGruber discovers that Cunth has kidnapped her. MacGruber realizes what plan Cunth has hatched. This wants to bomb the State of the Union Address . Meanwhile, Cunth can't help calling MacGruber to show him his glee. But this call leads to MacGruber tracing him and, with Piper's help, an attempt is made to save both the rockets and Vicki.
