Akiva Schaffer
Akiva Schaffer (born December 1, 1977 in Berkeley , California ) is an American screenwriter , director , film producer , film editor , actor and songwriter .
Career
Akiva "Kiv" Schaffer is a very versatile filmmaker and musician. He specialized at the University of California, Santa Cruz to the profession film. He directs, writes and edits most of the SNL Digital Shorts and is also the director and screenwriter of the Saturday Night Live Show. He was a director in the film Hot Rod and had a role with Andy Samberg and Jorma Taccone . He won an Emmy for his work as a songwriter . He produced the songs Lazy Sunday , Dick in a Box , Peyton Manning for the United Way , Iran so Far , Jizz In My Pants and sang the song I'm on a Boat with Andy Samberg . He is a member of The Lonely Island , a sketch comedy group also very well known as a band. In this group he works with his school friends Jorma Taccone and Andy Samberg. Schaffer directed four music videos for We Are Scientists and one for Eagles of Death Metal .
Awards
In 2007 Schaffer won an Emmy for participating in the production of Dick in a box .
He was named the Sexiest Bachelor by People Magazine along with his friend Andy Samberg.
