action

The Cornerstore company, whose employees are almost exclusively white storks , was responsible for delivering babies to people for a while, but has now changed its name to a parcel service. Junior, one of Cornerstore's best delivery storks, works hard to finally get a promotion from his boss. His greatest concern, however, is the chaotic tulip, which many years ago was the last baby produced, but could no longer be delivered to humans.

One day when Tulip accidentally starts the baby machine that has been switched off for a long time and suddenly a human baby is sitting in front of them, the worry is great. Junior worries about his promotion and plans to secretly hand the baby over to humans and thus hide it from his boss. Junior and Tulip fly off together, only to crash a short time later in an icy area. In the middle of nowhere they also meet a pack of wolves who take the baby in their heart and want to raise it themselves. They escape them by a hair's margin and continue their journey.

Meanwhile, the devious pigeon "Nut", who also works at Cornerstore, finds out that Junior and Tulip have started the baby machine and follows them both. He plans to take the baby back to the boss and get him to do it instead of Junior promoting him himself.

Tulip and Junior now meet a very old stork named Jasper. He explains to the two that the storks' baby production was stopped because of him: he was responsible for delivering Tulip to the people, but did not want to give the sweet baby away. In order to keep it to himself, he destroyed the address to which Tulip should have been brought. It also shows the two of them that he has spent the last few years looking up the parts of Tulip's address in order to show Tulip her true home. So Jasper goes out with Tulip to introduce her to her family, while Junior delivers the baby alone.

Due to tips from Nuss, however, Junior is quickly discovered by his boss, who is taking the baby away from him. Tulip is able to save Junior at the last moment without meeting her parents and the two return to Cornerstore. There Tulip and Junior fight together against an army of penguins, which push the two into the baby factory. As a distraction, Tulip and Junior start the baby machine and thousands of babies are produced. In addition, the packaging system for sending parcels is destroyed in the batch.

In order to deal with this huge number of babies, Junior calls all storks and other bird species together to deliver the babies to the people. In addition, he finally brings Tulip to her then planned family, which she welcomes happily. Junior and Tulip eventually become the new bosses of baby shipping and together they are delivering babies to people on a large scale again.

criticism

Antje Wessels said in her conclusion on filmstarts.de : " Storks - adventure on the approach is narrative very schematic, but still offers entertaining and imaginative animation entertainment." She awarded 3.5 out of 5 stars.

Hans Gerhold judged: “In the first half fast-paced, but hectic with parallel actions,“ Störche ”then comes to its own determination. The adventure scores with a pack of wolves, action with penguins in a whisper and with the vision of the baby's future life in fast motion. Like " Pets " and " Zoomania ", imaginative and fun, especially for the youngest. "
